Yolonda L. Colson, M.D., Ph.D., (Editor), is an attending cardiothoracic surgeon and Director of the Women's Lung Cancer Program in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston. An NIH-funded investigator, she received the George H.A. Clowes, Jr, M.D., FACS, Memorial Research Career Development Award through the American College of Surgeons and was a former recipient of the AATS Alton Oschner Research Scholarship.

Michael J. Liptay, M.D. (Associate Editor, General Thoracic) is the Chief of Thoracic Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. His clinical practice is confined to General Thoracic Surgery with a special emphasis on VATS and minimally invasive surgery.

John G. Byrne, M.D. (Associate Editor, Adult Cardiac) is the William S. Stoney Professor and Chairman in the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Surgeon-in-Chief at the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute, Nashville, Tenn.

Richard N. (Robin) Pierson III, M.D., (Associate Editor, Cardiopulmonary Transplantation) is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, and the Clinical Director of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and Clinical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program there. He is also the Director of the Surgical Clinical Care Center, VA Maryland Health Care System (Baltimore VAMC)..

William G. Williams, M.D., (Associate Editor, Congenital Heart) is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto, Ontario, senior staff cardiac surgeon at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, and staff surgeon at Toronto General Hospital. Dr. Williams is the former chairman of the division of cardiac surgery at the University of Toronto and former division head of cardiovascular surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children.
